I encourage you to slow down and pay attention to how you move and interact with your world. There is no judgement just awareness at first. Then play with ways to do things differently. Fold the paper differently when you read it. Place a pillow in your lap to help hold a book so your hand, arm, and shoulder get a break. Play with rearranging your environment to fit you. Do you need a foot stool? Do you need a better light source when you read? I understand that you are busy and have lots of responsibilities. Add yourself to the list. This is about doing the things you now do differently. It doesn’t require time set aside for something new. Only that you slow down a little and be observant. Ask yourself how it could be done differently and give it a try! Then observe again and see how you feel. Have you figured out that this is not just about getting more out of your massage? This is about getting more out of your life. Keep getting the help you need from professionals. But know that what you do has a big impact on how affective our help will be. |
